Serve

“You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles dominate them, and their men of high positions exercise power over them. 43 But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.”

Jesus is always our example. Jesus made it clear He did not come to be served but to serve. In fact Jesus came and laid down His very life for us. He held nothing back, He gave all. Our example is Jesus as a servant. We too are called to be a servant.

It is Human nature to want to be first and to be served. We have an innate desire to be honored and looked up too. But we must realize our fleshly desires as natural as they may be and turn our desires over to the Holy Spirit. He will give us the desire and strength to be like Jesus our great example.
