Neh 2:15 (HCSB)
Nehemiah had been given an assignment by God. It was to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. But before he could rebuild he needed to evaluate. Sometimes are mistake is to jump right into what we believe God has called us too without ever evaluating. It is not a matter of, "will I do it?" But it is a matter of knowing what you will need, how you will go about it and what will it cost.
When God calls the answer is always yes Lord! But we really need to take some time to evaluate and know exactly what will be the best God honoring way to approach the task. Just remember the old adage, "There is more than one way to skin a cat" (I have no idea of its origin) might sometimes apply to spiritual tasks as well!
