Be a Spiritual Mentor

4 One generation will declare Your works to the next and will proclaim Your mighty acts.

Psalms 145:4 (HCSB)

God is great isn't He. Psalm 145 is a Psalm that declares God's power, greatness and His goodness. But tucked away in all the praise is a challenge. Let me pose it as a question. Who are you a spiritual mentor too?

I know you're saying, "who me?" Yes you! Who are you mentoring spiritually. We all have someone who is younger or at least younger in the faith that we can share with. The Psalm says that one generation will declare God's works to the next. If you are a Christ follower and God has saved you from your sin. You have at least one great work of God you can proclaim to someone else. And I am sure there is much more that God has done in your life since your salvation. So who will you tell about it? What a privilege we have to share with a young believer the lessons we have learned and just maybe help them avoid some of the spiritual pitfalls we have encountered along the way.

Don't make them do it alone!
