As we live day to day as a Christ follower, we need to feel His presence in our lives. As Christ followers we can never lose our salvation and the Holy Spirit comes as a deposit in our lives and does not leave. However, sin does severs and damages our relationship with the Lord. King David pleads that God would not banish him because of his sin.
David really understands the severity and offense of our sin to God. We sometimes do not. But we also need to recognize the grace and mercy of God and realize that He has created us for fellowship with Him.
