Living dead or alive!

How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new way of life

Remember the old western movies. The bad guys wanted dead or alive! The apostle Paul had his own version, for spiritual matters of course, Living dead or alive. It's actually a question will you live dead or will you live alive? Paul makes clear that we are no longer in bondage to sin. He asks, "how can those who have died to sin still live in it?" Good question isn't it but oh the solution is so difficult. We have been set free from the bondage of sin but temptation still looms large. We need to understand that when we sin we are actually trying to put back on the shackles of bondage. We have been freed from the bondage of sin. So when we sin it is more than an alternative lifestyle, or a mistake or a moment of weakness. It is an unfortunate choice of placing ourselves once again in the bondage of sin.

I don't know about you but I'm tired of being bound by sin!
